Jail Weddings
A nine-person-deep rock ‘n’ soul revue that feels like the Pogues as produced by Phil Spector, a soundtrack to a Hollywood-gone-Babylon left unloved and unexplored since the last notes of X’ Los Angeles LP. Their 2010 full-length Love Is Lawless was gigantic, the kind of thing that should be a film (directed by Billy Wilder) but becomes an album instead. L.A. Weekly correctly called it “a big, fine mess of weepy, quavering, hiccupy hurtin’ hurt, plowed through with a way-tough punk rock theatricality and welcome good humor.” (bio)

Twin Steps
Punk romantic shred soul.

The Better Maker
Isabel Magdaleno: Singing, CP-35, Contempo
Ryan Fettes: Singing, Jezebel 62RJM

John Lee: Drums: Swingstar

Erin Brazill and the Brazillionaires
A sound that ranges from the sweetness of a summer's breeze to the dark edge of a sinister mystery, all played with the lushness of 60's Americana and a touch of gypsy magic. (bio)

Tidelands
Tidelands radiates a sort of innocence; it feels about 30 years out of time. Some of the tracks would go very well with latter-day Pink Floyd and Gabriel-era Genesis. Amulet, for instance, spreads rivulets of acoustic guitar over slightly ominous electric waves and modest sound effects. - My Old Kentucky Blog
