Total Trash 3 - day show

Moonhearts
The Moonhearts represents a newer side of trash, veering slightly away from the punk and more toward a dreamy California surf sound. (Don't worry, the band definitely keeps up the noisy garage ethos of the genre.) It's a modern, more distorted version of those psychedelic Nuggets box sets, which introduced a generation (whether it admits it or not) to bands like the Seeds and Strawberry Alarm Clock. Other songs veer toward a more straightforward Dick Dale and the Del-Tones style with the classic, wave-like reverb. " - SF Bay Guardian

King Lollipop
Concussive party rock supreme from Cody Blanchard (of Shannon and the Clams) on guitar and vox backed by a cavalcade of drummers.

Mikal Cronin
"Mikal Cronin — of Moonhearts and Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin — is stepping out on his own later this year with a solo psych-pop LP on Trouble in Mind Records. The self-titled album comes out September 20th, just around the beginning of Cronin’s tour with Ty Segall." - Bay Bridged

Acorn Bcorn
Sister duo from Tucson playing garage scorchers and '50's rock ballads. "Marina sings and plays guitar, and Leann plays bass. But the tricky part comes with the percussion: Both sisters play drums according to what each individual song calls for. If there's a bass break in a song, Marina carries the beat; if Marina is cranking out a blues riff on her guitar, Leann takes the drums. Sometimes the sisters will play drums on the same song, trading off as needed." - Tucson Weekly

SorryEverAfter
Feedback laden guitars and a locomotive back beat that bolsters a sweet layer of vocal harmonies.

Primitive Hearts
Primitive throw-down rock party action from Oakland.

Super Melody (ex-Architecture of Helsinki, Australia)
"Guitar shredding, saxophone solos, a paean to the songwriting of George Michael, vintage Gallic pop and idiosyncratic grooves." - The Age

"If the name Super Melody rings a bell, perhaps it’s because James Cecil has been using the phrase for years. First there was his Super Melody World studio, and now there’s the musical venture he commenced after leaving Architecture In Helsinki at the end of 2007. Following last year’s Life Is Like Glass EP, Super Melody has just made its full-length debut with Destination Unknown. Aptly titled, it’s a free-wheeling lark through cheesy funk, glossy electro-pop, honeyed orchestration, African rhythms, and much more." - MessAndNoise.com

Darren Sylvester (AUS)
"A ghostly collection of recordings for Karen Carpenter, Phil Spector, remembered authenticity and pure pop fiction." - Three Thousand.com.au

Faux Pas (AUS)
Faux Pas is Tim Shiel, an electronic music maker from Melbourne, Australia.

"A dominant Paul McCartney presides over a fiefdom of ’70s yacht rock, ’80s Australian pub rock, ’90s commercial dance tracks and the educated electronica of the noughties. Dramatic strings rub against dodgy choral/orchestral synth melodies and contemporary R&B beats, handclaps echoing into some constructed, reverential space." - MessAndNoise.com
