Denver blackened doom trio, PRIMITIVE MAN, has released the diseased sounds of their Home Is Where The Hatred Is EP upon blameless masses. Spewing forth four vicious slabs of confrontational, feedback-drenched sonic severity.
Formed in 2007 by Erik Stenglein, Northless is a reaction to the erosion of the future. Drawing from influences such as Neurosis, Eyehategod, Drudkh and Khanate, Northless has placed a boot firmly in the realm of sludge and doom.
Exudes a warm, organic tone that draws the listener in to music heavily influenced by traditional doom, psych rock, drone, and ambience. Church cannily wields dynamic songwriting, musicianship, and raw power to spin a spellbinding tale of occult darkness that clashes with illuminating melodies and riffs drenched in grimy reverb.
“Abstracter is a musical force to be reckoned with and hail out of Oakland, CA. They bring a breath of fresh air to a heavily flooded “Post Metal” market, which is home to a long list of great bands already. This blackened mass of malice began in 2010 and released ‘Tomb of Feathers’, with ‘Wound Empire’ set for release later this month. The entire album flows seamlessly in and out of a veil of darkness and the pits of corrosive dystopia.” – The Sludgelord (UK)
