Johan Johansson was, and still is, considered as one of Sweden’s main punk legends, top songwriters and lyricists. He started out as a teenager in the late 70’s with the classic punk band KSMB. After the band split in -82 he toured and made records with a couple of other bands before settling down as a producer. After producing a string of albums for some of the top acts in Sweden and Iceland for a couple of years he started longing for the stage again. Now he’s one of the country’s most acclaimed folk singers. Johan Johansson’s music has echoes of the sixties and sharp witty lyrics. In reviews his concerts are often described as songs with a message mixed with stand up comedy. Johan Johansson did a show in New York last year, and it went down so well that the time has come for San Francisco, at the Hemlock Tavern on Tuesday, March 13. The songs will be in Swedish, but don’t you worry – the presentations won’t, and the message and humor will come through. Believe us!
